The Diocese of Oradea ( la, Dioecesis Magnovaradinensis Latinorum, hu, Nagyváradi Római Katolikus Egyházmegye, ro, Dieceza Romano-Catolică de Oradea Mare) is a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical territory in Romania, named after its episcopal see in the city of Oradea. Description It covers most of Crişana—the counties of Bihor and Arad, 10.5% of which are Catholic. Its adherents are predominantly Hungarian. It is suffragan to the Bucharest Archdiocese, like all Romanian bishoprics. Its bishop since 2008 is László Böcskei. Its present Cathedral of St. Mary also has the status of minor basilica. Greek Catholic Diocese Of Oradea Mare
The Greek Catholic diocese of Oradea Mare is the Eparchy of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church for the area of Oradea. It was founded in 1777, followers of the Greek Rite having been up to that time under the jurisdiction of the Latin bishop. Originally the see was a suffragan of Esztergom (Gran); when, however, in 1853 the Greek Catholic ''Diocese of Făgăraș and Alba Iulia'' became the Archdiocese of Făgăraș and Alba Iulia, the diocese of Oradea Mare was transferred to its jurisdiction. The see is divided into six archidiaconates and 19 vice-archidiaconates. The Reformed Diocese of Királyhágómellék or Királyhágómellék Reformed Church District ( hu, Királyhágómelléki Református Egyházkerület; ro, Episcopia Reformată de pe lângă Piatra Craiului) is one of the two dioceses of the Reformed Church in Romania, with its headquarters in Oradea. It was part of the Reformed Diocese of Tiszántúl of the Reformed Church in Hungary from the 16th century until 1920, when it came under Romanian administration in accordance with the Treaty of Trianon and became part of the newly founded Reformed Church in Romania. In 2004, it had 320,000 members in 271 congregations and 342 house fellowships. The Apostles Creed, the Heidelberg Catechism and the Second Helvetic Confession are the official standards.
