Diocese Of Malolos
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Malolos (Latin: ''Dioecesis Malolosinae''; Tagalog: ''Diyosesis ng Malolos''; Spanish: ''Diócesis de Malolos'') is a Roman Rite Diocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church in the Philippine, encompassing the whole Province of Bulacan and Valenzuela City in Metropolitan Manila and is a suffragan to the Archdiocese of Manila. The mother church of the Diocese is the Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception located in Malolos City, Bulacan. The Blessed Virgin Mary, under the title of Immaculate Conception is the principal patroness of the diocese. It was excised from the Archdiocese of Manila on December 11, 1961, by Pope John XXIII and was officially established on March 11, 1962, upon the installation of Manuel P. del Rosario, then Bishop of Calbayog, by Salvatore Siino, the Papal Nuncio, as the first bishop of the diocese. Bulacan, officially the Province of Bulacan ( tl, Lalawigan ng Bulacan), is a province in the Philippines located in the Central Luzon region. Its capital is the city of Malolos. Jose Francisco Oliveros (September 11, 1946 – May 11, 2018) was a Filipino Roman Catholic prelate, who served as the fourth Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Malolos. Life Jose was born on September 11, 1946. His parents were Vicente Oliveros and Angelina Francisco, from Quezon in the eponymous province. He was ordained a priest on November 28, 1970 in Luneta (Rizal Park) Manila by Pope Paul VI. Pope John Paul II appointed him on February 2, 2000, Bishop of the Diocese of Boac. Salvatore Siino (5 October 1904 – 8 October 1963) was an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church who worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He became an archbishop in 1953 and served as Apostolic Nuncio in the Dominican Republic and the Philippines. Biography Salvatore Siino was born on 5 October 1904 in Capaci, Italy. Manuel P. Del Rosario (July 1, 1915 – March 23, 2009) was a Filipino prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.
