The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kyiv-Zhytomyr () is a suffragan diocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church in Ukraine in ecclesiastical province of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Lviv of the Latins. Its cathedral episcopal see is the St. Sophia's Cathedral, Zhytomyr. It also has, both in Kyiv: a Co-Cathedral of St. Alexander, and a former cathedral, now Church of St. Nicholas. The Archdiocese of Lviv (of the Latins) () () is a Latin Church ecclesiastical jurisdiction or archdiocese of the Catholic Church in western Ukraine. Andrzej Szołdrski (c. 1583–1650) of Łodzia coat of arms was a Polish nobleman and Roman Catholic priest. Son of Stanisław Szołdrski, owner of Czempiń, and Małgorzata Manicka. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lutsk was first established in the 13th century as the diocese of Luceoria (Latin) or Łuck (Polish). Bogusław Radoszewski (c. 1577–1638) of Oksza coat of arms was a Polish noble and Roman Catholic priest. Józef Wereszczyński
Józef Wereszczyński (born 1530 in Zbaraż, died 1598) was a Polish political writer, polemicist, moralist, preacher, and bishop of Kiev. He was probably born in Zbaraż, in 1530, as the son of Andrzej of Ruthenian origin, and Anna née Jaroski (Jaroski or Jarocki). He grew up and was educated in Krasnystaw. It is not known where he obtained his doctorate in theology. Before 1577 he became a canon of Chełmno. In 1581 he became an abbot of the Benedictine monastery in Sieciechów. In 1587 he supported the candidacy of Sigismund III Vasa. In 1592 he became the bishop of Kiev.
