''Dilemma of Two Angels'' (French: ''Impasse des Deux Anges'') is a 1948 French comedy crime film directed by Maurice Tourneur and starring Paul Meurisse, Simone Signoret and Marcel Herrand.Waldman p.168 It was the final film directed by Tourneur in a career that stretched back to the silent era and included nearly a hundred films. The film's sets were designed by the art director Jean d'Eaubonne. Lucas Gridoux (16 April 1896 – 22 April 1952) was a Romanian-born French stage and film actor.Lanzoni p. 99 Biography He was born in 1896 in Herța, at the time in Dorohoi County, Kingdom of Romania. After emigrating to France, Gridoux began his film career in 1931, playing mainly in roles of traitors. In 1935, he was Judas in Julien Duvivier's Golgotha, and then in 1937, Inspector Slimane, a sworn enemy of Jean Gabin in Pépé le Moko, by the same director. He died in 1952 at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris, and was buried at the city's Père Lachaise Cemetery. Reggie Nalder (born Alfred Reginald Natzler; 4 September 1907 – 19 November 1991) was a prolific Austrian film and television character actor from the late 1940s to the early 1990s. His distinctive features—partially the result of disfiguring burns—together with a haunting style and demeanor led to his being called "The Face That Launched a Thousand Trips". Life and career Born in Vienna, Austria-Hungary, he was the son of actor and operetta singer Sigmund Natzler (1862–1913). He was a cousin of actresses and singers Grete Natzler and Hertha Natzler.
