Dil-E-Nadaan (1953 Film)
''Dil-E-Nadaan'' (Naive Heart) is a 1953 Hindi romantic drama film produced and directed by A. R. Kardar. Produced under the banner of Kardar Productions Ltd., the story and dialogue were handled by the story department of Kardar Production Ltd unit. The cinematography was by Dwarka Divecha. The music director was Ghulam Mohammed (composer), Ghulam Mohammed, with lyrics written by Shakeel Badayuni. It was Talat Mehmood's debut acting role, and he was introduced as the "Singing Star Talat Mehmood". He co-starred with the new actress Peace Kanwal, who was introduced in this film and with Shyama (Hindi actress), Shyama. The film failed at the box-office in spite of several popular songs. Talat Mehmood
Talat Mahmood (24 February 1924 – 9 May 1998) was an Indian playback singer who is considered one of the popular male Indian film song and ghazal singers. Although he tried his luck as a film actor, he did not succeed a great deal in acting. Talat Mahmood received the Padma Bhushan award in 1992, in recognition of his artistic contributions in the spheres of cinematic and ghazal music. He was particularly famous for singing soft and sombre ''ghazal''s in his quivering and silky voice. Romantic and tragic were the moods he liked most and it was he who helped a great deal in shaping the style and method of modern ghazal singing in India during the 1950s and 1960s. Shamshad Begum (Hindi: शमशाद बेगम, IAST: ''Śamśād Bēgam''; 14 April 1919 – 23 April 2013) was an Indian singer who was one of the first playback singers in the Hindi film industry. Notable for her distinctive voice and range, she sang over 6,000 songs in Hindustani, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, and Punjabi languages, among which 1287 were Hindi film songs. Jagjit Kaur (May 1930 – 15 August 2021) was an Indian Hindi/Urdu singer and was married to the music director, Mohammed Zahur Khayyam. Personal life and death Kaur belonged to an aristocratic family from Punjab. She married composer Mohammed Zahur Khayyam in 1954, one of the first inter-communal marriages in the Indian film industry. They had a son, Pradeep, who died of a heart attack in 2012. Inspired by their son's helping nature, they started a trust, "Khayyam Jagjit Kaur KPG Charitable Trust" to help artistes and technicians in need. Khayyam died on 19 August 2019 following a cardiac arrest at the age of 92. Kaur died on 15 August 2021 at the age of 91. A ''raga'' or ''raag'' (; also ''raaga'' or ''ragam''; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a musical mode, melodic mode. Shyama (born Khurshid Akhtar; 7 June 1935 – 14 November 2017) was an Indian actress who appeared in Hindi films. She was active between 1945 and 1989. She is best known for her roles in ''Aar Paar'' (1954 film) and ''Barsaat Ki Raat'' (1960 film). Career Born as Khurshid Akhtar in Lahore, Punjab in British India on 7 June 1935 into a Muslim family, Shyama moved to MUmbai from Lahore in the 1940s.
