Dignity And Truth Platform
The Dignity and Truth Platform Party ( ro, Partidul Politic „Platforma Demnitate și Adevăr”, PPDA), stylized as Platforma DA or YES Platform, is a centre-right, liberal political party in Moldova promoting pro-Europeanism and anti-corruption. Established as the ''Force of the People Party'' in December 2015 during the 2015–2016 protests in Moldova and founded by lawyer and former prosecutor Andrei Năstase, the party calls for far-reaching change in the political establishment. The party became an observer member of the European People's Party in 2017. The European People's Party of Moldova ( ro, Partidul Popular European din Moldova, PPEM) is a centre-right political party in Moldova. The party is led by Iurie Leancă, who was Prime Minister of Moldova from 2013 to 2015. For the duration of this premiership, Leancă was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM). History The government of Moldova which emerged from coalition talks after the 2014 parliamentary election did not command a parliamentary majority and relied on support from the Moldovan Communist party (PCRM). Liberal Party ( ro, Partidul Liberal, PL) is a conservative-liberal political party in Moldova. The president of the party is the former Mayor of Chișinău, Dorin Chirtoacă. History The party was established under the name Party of Reform ( ro, Partidul Reformei) in 1993 by Anatol Șalaru. In 1997, Mihai Ghimpu was elected chairman. 2014 Moldovan Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Moldova on 30 November 2014. The result was described as "more a loss than a victory" of the incumbent pro-European coalition, with center-right parties divided by sharp tensions. The pro-Russian Party of Socialists (PSRM), composed of former communists, emerged as the largest party in Parliament, gaining 20.51% of votes and winning 25 of the 101 seats.
