Brett Jordan Dier (; born February 14, 1990) is a Canadian actor. He is best known for his role as Michael Cordero Jr. on ''Jane the Virgin''. He is also known for his recurring roles on the Canadian TV shows ''Bomb Girls'' and '' The L.A. Complex'', and most recently for his main role as "C.B." on the ABC sitcom '' Schooled''. Early life Dier was born on February 14, 1990, in London, Ontario and went to London South Collegiate Institute. He grew up with an older sister and younger brother. He studied improv as well as receiving his first dan black belt in Taekwondo. He reached the 6th grade of Conservatory Music in piano, including the Suzuki method since the age of 4. Dirk Dier (born 16 February 1972) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Career Dier, an under 12s and 14s national champion, was a semi finalist in the Orange Bowl. In 1990, he defeated Leander Paes to win the boys' singles event in the Australian Open and also finished runner-up in the juniors at Queen's that year. He appeared in the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time at the 1990 Wimbledon Championships, where he lost in the opening round to countryman Michael Stich. His other two Grand Slam appearances came in 1996. The German exited in the first round of the 1996 French Open, to Félix Mantilla in four sets, but reached the second round in the US Open, with a win over Chuck Adams. Eric Jeremy Edgar Dier (born 15 January 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays for club Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team. A versatile defensive player, Dier has been deployed as a defensive midfielder, a centre-back and a right-back. Tobias Dier (born 29 September 1976) is a German professional golfer. Dier was born in Nürnberg. He won the 1998 German Amateur Open Championship and turned professional later that year. He won a European Tour card by finishing sixth on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit in 1998. The Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources (DIER) was the department of the Government of Tasmania responsible for management of the state's infrastructure. It reported to several ministers including Jim Cox and Michael Aird. In 2014, it merged with the former Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts to form the new Department of State Growth. The Department was divided into divisions including a Corporate Services Division and the Office of the Secretary. In addition to its own Divisions, DIER also provides support to Private Forests Tasmania, Racing Services Tasmania and Forest Practices Authority. The Executive Group (Senior Management Team) is made up of the Secretary, Deputy Secretaries and the General Manager Corporate Services.
