Diego Martínez (Spanish Footballer, Born 1980)
Diego Martínez Penas (born 16 December 1980) is a Spanish football coach and former player who manages RCD Espanyol. After starting his career in the lower divisions, he held several jobs at Sevilla, including as assistant and reserve team manager. He later managed Osasuna and Granada, achieving promotion to La Liga with the latter. Playing career Born in Vigo, Pontevedra, Galicia, Martínez was a full back capable of playing on either side. He spent his youth career at Celta de Vigo and Cádiz CF, representing the former for nine years. Coaching career Early career Martínez retired from professional football at the age of 20, and started his coaching career with CD Imperio de Albolote's youth categories, while also playing for their first team. 2018 Segunda División Play-offs
The 2017–18 Segunda División play-offs were played from June 6 to June 17, 2018 and determined the third team which would be promoted to the top division. Teams placed between 3rd and 6th position excluding reserve teams took part in the promotion play-offs. Valladolid achieved promotion. Regulations The regulations were the same as the previous season: in the semi-finals, the fifth-placed team faced the fourth-placed team, while the sixth-placed team faced the third. Each tie was played over two legs, with the team lower in the table hosting the first leg. The team that scored more goals on aggregate over the two legs advanced to the next round. Francisco Javier "Javi" Vicente Navarro (born 6 February 1974) is a Spanish retired professional footballer. During his career, the central defender represented mainly Valencia and Sevilla, achieving great success with the latter club – five major titles, including two UEFA Cups. Over 15 seasons, greatly hindered by injuries, he amassed La Liga totals of 224 matches and three goals. Navarro played four times for Spain, making his debut in 2006.
