Diana Maffía
Diana Helena Maffía (born 19 September 1953) is an Argentine academic and politician. With a PhD in philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Maffía is a professor of undergraduate and postgraduate programs at UBA and other national and international universities. She is a researcher at UBA's Interdisciplinary Institute of Gender Studies (IIEGE), founded the Argentine Network of Gender, Science, and Technology in 1994, and was a member of the Argentine Association of Women in Philosophy from 1987 to 1991. She has directed research projects and doctoral and master's theses. She is the author of numerous books and articles. She served as deputy ombudsman (1998–2003) and Buenos Aires City Legislature, city deputy of Buenos Aires (2007–2011), receiving ''Parlamentario'' Awards for each year of her legislative work. ''Perfil'' is an Argentine weekly newspaper based in Buenos Aires and refounded in 2005. History The newspaper was first launched by Jorge Fontevecchia on 9 May 1998 as a daily newspaper, but poor sales forced its closure on 31 July of the same year. ''Perfil'' was relaunched on 11 September 2005 as a weekly newspaper, published on the day of highest sales, Sundays. The expectation was that after building a reader base they would be able to add a new edition on Saturdays, and finally become a daily newspaper again. Patricia Bullrich (born 11 June 1956) is an Argentine politician. She was Minister of Security under President Mauricio Macri and is the chairwoman of Republican Proposal. Dora Beatriz Barrancos (born 15 August 1940) is an Argentine researcher, sociologist, historian, feminist, and politician. She was part of the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) board of directors until May 2019, when she resigned in protest over a budget reduction that severely affected the institution. Gnosiology
Gnosiology ("study of knowledge") is "the philosophy of knowledge and cognition". In Soviet and post-Soviet philosophy, the word is often used as a synonym for epistemology. The term is also currently used in regard to Eastern Christianity. Etymology The term is derived from the Ancient Greek words ''gnosis'' ("knowledge", γνῶσις) and ''logos'' ("word" or "discourse", λόγος). Linguistically, one might compare it to epistemology, which is derived from the Greek words ''episteme'' ("certain knowledge") and ''logos''.
