The Di Sangro family (or De Sangro) is an Italian noble family. Origins The Di Sangro family descends from an Oderisio, who was nephew of Berardo "il Francisco", founder of the Berardi family, known as Conti dei Marsi, who inherited the fief of Sangro from his father Rainaldo (today's Castel di Sangro ), located near the homonymous river, becoming the 1st count in 1093 and, thanks to the Lombard law of the time that allowed to change one's surname with the name of the fief owned, changed its surname to Di Sangro. Bugnara
Bugnara is a ''comune'' and village in the province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. In 2007, it was designated as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy (i borghi più belli d'Italia), an association that notes small Italian towns of artistic and historical interest. Geography Coming from the direction of the gorge of the Sagittario river, Bugnara is the first village in the conch-shaped Peligna valley. Buccino is a town and ''comune'' in Campania in Italy, in the province of Salerno, located about 700 m above sea level. Brienza
Brienza is a town and comune in the province of Potenza, in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata. History Brienza was founded around a castle in the 7th century AD, during the Lombards, Lombard rule of the Duchy of Benevento. Between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, there was a mass migration of Brienza residents to the Americas, most notably to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Chicago, in the United States. The Brienza immigrants in Argentina settled in the Mataderos (Nueva Chicago) neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
