Pothotuwa Arachchige Dhananjaya Lakshan (born 5 October 1998), popularly as Dhananjaya Lakshan, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Sri Lanka cricket team in June 2021. Domestic career In April 2018, he was named in Galle's squad for the 2018 Super Provincial One Day Tournament. He made his List A debut for Galle in the 2018 Super Provincial One Day Tournament on 11 May 2018. Prior to his List A debut, he was named in Sri Lanka's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In August 2018, he was named in Kandy's squad the 2018 SLC T20 League. The Lanka Premier League (abbreviated as LPL; , ) is a professional cricket league in Sri Lanka in Twenty20 format contested every year by teams representing Sri Lankan cities from 2020. The league was founded by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) in 2018. In August 2020, Ravin Wickramaratne, the Vice President of SLC was officially appointed as the director of the tournament. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is the governing body for cricket in Sri Lanka. 2022 Lanka Premier League
The 2022 Lanka Premier League also known as Mazaplay LPL T20, for sponsorship reasons, was the third edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in Sri Lanka. It was originally scheduled to take place from 31 July to 21 August 2022 with Sri Lanka Cricket initially having promised to conduct LPL tournament targeting the August window. The ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka were scrapped due to the hosting of this tournament. However, in July 2022, the tournament was postponed due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, with the aim to play it later in 2022.
