Dhaka University Central Student's Union
Dhaka University Central Students' Union, also known by its acronym DUCSU, is the official students' union of the University of Dhaka. Called the second parliament of Bangladesh, DUCSU represents Dhaka University students in the university's decision-making, acts as the voice for students in the national higher education policy debate, and to provides direct services to the student body. History It was established in the academic year of 1923-24 as Dhaka University Student Union. Its first constitution was drafted in its general assembly on 30 October 1925. In 1953, its constitution was amended and the union was renamed Dhaka University Central Students' Union. The chancellor of the university acts as the president of the Union while other posts are elected from the students representatives. A teacher acts as the treasurer. Md. Akhtaruzzaman is a Bangladeshi academic who is the current and the 28th vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka. The Bangladesh Chhatra League ( bn, বাংলাদেশ ছাত্রলীগ; translation: Bangladesh Students' League; BSL), formerly known as the East Pakistan Student League, often simply called the Chhatra League, is a students' political organisation in Bangladesh, founded by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 4 January 1948. BSL is the student wing of the Bangladesh Awami League. Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak (born 1976) is a Bangladeshi economist and a professor of economics at Yale University. Moreover, he is a co-chair of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab's (J-PAL) Urban Services Initiative and its Environment and Energy sector, as well as the lead academic for Bangladesh at the International Growth Centre (IGC). Amanullah Aman
Amanullah Aman is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and the former Member of Parliament. He is the joint secretary general of BNP. Early life Aman was born in Keraniganj Upazila, Dhaka District. Career Aman started his political career in the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal.
