Before the Second World War Karim Ghani was a parliamentary secretary in Burma under Dr. Ba Maw, who was the first Burma Premier (1937–1939) and head of State of Burma from 1942 to 1945.During World War II, Ghani came to be the Minister for state Subhas Bose's Azad Hind government and was in Malaya. Wong Foon Meng () is a Malaysian politician and engineer. He is also the former President of the Dewan Negara and a former Terengganu State Assemblyman for the seat of Bandar, Kuala Terengganu from 1995 to 1999. Early career Wong was a civil servant in Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment from 1978 to 1990 and later became a Consulting Engineer in 1991 upon leaving the government service.
