Devendra Pratap Pandey
Lieutenant General Devendra Pratap Pandey (born 17 June 1964) UYSM, AVSM, VSM is an Indian Army general serving as the current Commandant of the Army War College, Mhow, prior to his appointment he was the General-Officer-Commanding of the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps. He took over from Lieutenant General B. S. Raju after the latter completed his term as the Corps Commander. Prior to his appointment as the Chinar Corps Commander, the general served as the Director General of Territorial Army of the Indian Army. Wellington Cantonment
Wellington is a cantonment town in the Coonoor sub-Division of Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu. One of its most famous residents was Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who died in the town on June 27, 2008. This town is adjacent to the city of Coonoor. Its Postal Index Number is 643231. Indian Military Academy
The Indian Military Academy (IMA) is one of the oldest military academies in India, and trains officers for the Indian Army. Located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, it was established in 1932 following a recommendation by a military committee set up under the chairmanship of General (later Field Marshal) Sir Philip Chetwode. From a class of 40 male cadets in 1932, IMA now has a sanctioned capacity of 1,650. Cadets undergo a training course varying between 3 and 16 months depending on entry criteria. On completion of the course at IMA cadets are permanently commissioned into the army as Lieutenants.
