Claudie Fritsch-Mentrop (born 25 December 1952), known by her stage name Desireless (), is a French singer. Between 1986 and 1988, her hit single "Voyage, voyage" made it to number one on many European and Asian single charts. The music video was directed by Bettina Rheims and showed the artist in a cold, androgynous style similar to a wave of other contemporary female singers such as Annie Lennox and Grace Jones. According to her official website, Desireless still releases new albums and performs live, and she released a new album with Operation of the Sun (Antoine Aureche) accompanied by a worldwide tour from 2012 onward.Desireless has just released a new album with Operation of the Sun (Antoine Aureche). Antoine Aureche
Antoine Aureche aka Valfeu (born 4 December 1981) is a French musician: guitarist, singer, composer, electro producer and video maker. He is mainly known for his duet with Desireless, French pop star of the 80s ("Voyage, Voyage"). His work is a bridge between different worlds: from classical music to electro & pop, through progressive, symphonic, dark & experimental music. Biography Aureche studied music at the Conservatory in Annecy. Influenced by bands such as King Crimson, Gentle Giant and Robert Wyatt, he created at the end of the 90s his first band, Thork, and produced a first album (Urdoxa, 2000). "John" is a synthpop song recorded by French singer Desireless. It was the second single from the album ''François'' on which it is the tenth track. Following the huge success of "Voyage Voyage", it was released in May 1988. Written and produced by Jean-Michel Rivat, the song was Desireless' last hit single in France.
