Derrick Coleman (American Football)
Derrick Lamont Coleman (born October 18, 1990) is a former American football fullback who is an assistant to player engagement for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Minnesota Vikings in 2012. He played college football for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Early life Coleman became deaf when he was three years old; he primarily uses lip reading for communication. He attended Troy High School in Fullerton, California, and played college football for UCLA. Playing career Minnesota Vikings Coleman went undrafted, then signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings on April 28, 2012. He was waived by the Vikings in August. Fullback (American Football)
A fullback (FB) is a position in the offensive backfield in gridiron football, and is one of the two running back positions along with the halfback. Fullbacks are typically larger than halfbacks and in most offensive schemes the fullback's duties are split among power running, pass catching, and blocking for both the quarterback and the other running back. Many great runners in the history of American football have been fullbacks, including Jim Brown, Marion Motley, Bronko Nagurski, Jim Taylor, Franco Harris, Larry Csonka, John Riggins, Christian Okoye, and Levi Jackson. 2017 Chicago Bears Season
The 2017 Chicago Bears season was the franchise's 98th season in the National Football League, as well as their third and final season under head coach John Fox. The Bears improved upon the previous year's 3–13 record, finishing 5–11, but failed to make the playoffs and suffered their fourth consecutive losing season.
