Derek Ryan (ice Hockey)
Derek Allen Ryan (born December 29, 1986) is an American professional ice hockey forward for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). An undrafted player, Ryan played four successful seasons of Canadian university hockey and pursued a professional career in Europe before making his NHL debut at age 29. After being named the MVP of the Swedish Hockey League in 2015, Ryan signed his first NHL contract with the Carolina Hurricanes in June of that year. He played parts of three seasons with the Hurricanes before signing with the Flames in July 2018. Playing career Ryan started his junior career with his hometown's Spokane Braves of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) from 2002 to 2004. Spokane Chiefs
The Spokane Chiefs are a major junior ice hockey team that plays in the Western Hockey League based out of Spokane, Washington. The team plays its home games at the Spokane Arena. Their uniforms are similar to those of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens. Spokane consistently ranks in the top 10 in the Canadian Hockey League in attendance. Cory Franklin Schneider (born March 18, 1986) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Bridgeport Islanders in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played for the Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils. Schneider was selected in the first round, 26th overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Following his draft, he began a three-year tenure with the Boston College Eagles, winning two Lamoriello Trophies as Hockey East champions and making two NCAA Final appearances during his college career. Kevin Primeau (born January 3, 1955 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played two games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Vancouver Canucks. He also played seven games in the World Hockey Association with the Edmonton Oilers. Primeau also represented Canada at the 1980 Winter Olympics where he scored 4 goals and 1 assist in 6 games. He is later served as the head coach of the Swiss team HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. He also was the head coach of the Hungarian team Alba Volán Székesfehérvár, and the Hungarian national team.
