Tancred Ibsen
Tancred Ibsen (11 July 1893 – 4 December 1978) was a Norwegian military officer, aviator, film director and screenwriter. Background Ibsen was the son of Sigurd Ibsen and Bergljot Bjørnson. He was the grandson of both Henrik Ibsen and Nobel laureate Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. He married dancer and actress Lillebil Ibsen in 1919, and remained married to her until his death in 1978. His son Tancred Ibsen, Jr. (1921–2015) was a Norwegian diplomat. Aviation career In 1917, Tancred Ibsen started pilot training at Kjeller Airport and began his career in the Norwegian Army Air Service. He started the first civilian active airplane company, ''A/S Aero'' in 1920, financed by his uncle, businessman Einar Bjørnson, and two shipowners. The company successfully operated demonstration, advertising, and limited mail flights with Ibsen as the head pilot. Kristian Elster (born 1881)
Kristian Elster (17 March 1881 – 6 November 1947) was a Norwegian novelist, literary historian, theatre critic, and biographer. Biography Kristian Elster was born in Trondheim, Norway as the son of the author Kristian Elster (1841–1881) and Sanna Fasting (1845–1926). In 1888, he moved with his mother to Oslo. He was educated as a lawyer, and in 1910 he became a secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture. Elster published 40 novels, plays, and narratives. Ola Isene
Ola Isene (2 June 1898 – 6 May 1973) was a Norwegian opera singer (baritone) and actor. Isene was born in Rødenes and studied at the Musikkonservatoriet in Oslo, Kristiania. He made his professional debut at the Mayol-teatret in 1923. His operatic roles were varied, among them Beckmesser in ''Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg'', Scarpia in ''Tosca'', and Amonasro in ''Aïda'' – most of them at the Nationaltheatret, which at the time had opera on its programme. He took part in many tours and also appeared in operettas, including as Schubert in ''Jomfruburet''. In 1929, he sang Al Jolson's parts from The Jazz Singer when it was presented as a silent film in Sweden, and in the middle of the 1930s, he moved to theatre and film as an actor. Isene also played the title role in the three criminal radio plays ''Inspektør Scott på farten'' by John P. Wynn, which were broadcast by Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation radio in 1960 and 1961.
