Defying Gravity (TV Series)
''Defying Gravity'' is a multi-nationally produced space travel television science fiction drama series which first aired on August 2, 2009 on ABC and CTV and was canceled in October 2009. Set in the year 2052, the series follows eight astronauts (four women and four men) from four countries on a six-year space mission through the Solar System, during which they are monitored from Earth via a real-time communication system. The series was pitched to networks as "''Grey's Anatomy'' in space". Thirteen episodes of the series were produced before it was cancelled, only eight of which were shown on ABC, though the full run was shown in other countries or online. Michael Edelstein
Michael Edelstein (born February 20, 1968) began his career in episodic television working CBS Entertainment. There he worked on a number of series on the network’s primetime schedule such as CSI. He then went on to work for NBC Universal Together with Marc Cherry and Tom Spezialy, Edelstein was one of the original executive producers for Desperate Housewives. The show won two Golden Globes for best comedy series and other nominations. BBC HD was a 24-hour high-definition television channel provided by the BBC. The service was initially run as a trial from 15 May 2006 until becoming a full service on 1 December 2007 before its discontinuation on 26 March 2013. It broadcast only during the afternoon and evening and only broadcast material shot in high definition, either in a simulcast with another channel or by inserting a repeat of an HD programme. BBC Two is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network owned and operated by the BBC.
