Dedicated (Murphy's Law Album)
''Dedicated'' is a full-length album by the New York City hardcore punk band, Murphy's Law. It was released by Another Planet in 1996. The album is dedicated to the former bass guitar player Chuck Valle, who was killed in 1994. His picture appears on the back page of the CD inlay and a picture of a tattoo inscribed with the words "In Memory of Chuck" appears on the jewel case inlay. Production The album was produced by Daniel Rey. He also wrote "Green Bud". The personnel differed from previous recordings, but Jimmy G Drescher's vocals still provided the sound's basis. Critical reception ''The Washington Post'' wrote, "There's no evidence that the Law's energy is flagging; Todd Youth's guitar churns as fast as ever, and Jimmy G's vocals are just as raw and urgent. Murphy's Law is an influential American hardcore punk band from New York City, formed in 1982. Hardcore punk (commonly abbreviated to hardcore or hXc) is a punk rock music genre#subtypes, subgenre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Daniel Rey
Daniel Rey (born Daniel Rabinowitz) is an American musician, record producer and songwriter from New York City, best known for his work with the punk rock band Ramones. As a teenager Rey played in punk band Shrapnel, which also featured Dave Wyndorf, later of Monster Magnet. Shrapnel put out two 45 singles (Combat Love and Go Cruisin') and a five-song self-titled e.p., and played CBGB regularly in their brief career. He first collaborated with the Ramones on their 1984 album '' Too Tough to Die'', where he co-wrote the song "Daytime Dilemma (Dangers of Love)" with Joey Ramone, and from there produced three of the band's albums, '' Halfway to Sanity'', '' Brain Drain'' and '' ¡Adios Amigos!''. Todd Youth
Todd Schofield (May 15, 1970 – October 27, 2018), known as Todd Youth, was an American guitarist, best known for his work with Warzone, Murphy's Law and Danzig. Biography Starting in 6th grade, Todd began sneak out from home into New York City where he was playing in several New York hardcore bands, leading to the nickname, Youth (given by HR from Bad Brains). He received his first bass guitar, a BC Rich, for his 10th birthday in 1981. Early influences included Black Sabbath and Kiss. He is mentioned as being the bass player in a very early Agnostic Front as well as Cro-Mags line-up, alongside Harley Flanagan on drums, Parris Mayhew on guitar, and Eric Casanova on vocals. Youth also played for New York City act Warzone until around 1986. He joined Murphy's Law that year, recording on various works with them, including three full-length albums. Jesse Malin
Jesse Malin (born January 26, 1967) is an American rock musician, guitarist, and songwriter. He began his performing career in the New York hardcore band Heart Attack, and rose to prominence as vocalist of D Generation. , he is a solo recording artist, having recorded numerous albums including the Lucinda Williams-produced '' Sunset Kids''. Over the course of his career, Malin has collaborated with Bruce Springsteen, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Ryan Adams and numerous other musicians.
