Dedede
is a Character (arts), fictional character in Nintendo's Kirby (series), ''Kirby'' video game series created by Masahiro Sakurai and developed by HAL Laboratory. Dedede first appeared in the 1992 in video gaming, 1992 video game ''Kirby's Dream Land'' as the main antagonist, but gradually became an antihero of the series. He has returned for all other games of the series except ''Kirby & the Amazing Mirror'' (2004) and ''Kirby and the Rainbow Curse'' (2015). He has also appeared in several ''Kirby'' comic books, the 2001 anime series ''Kirby: Right Back at Ya!'' and the Super Smash Bros. ''Kirby'' is an Action game, action-Platform game, platform video game series developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. The series centers around the adventures of a pink hero named Kirby (character), Kirby as he fights to protect and save his home on the distant Planet Popstar from a variety of threats. The majority of the games in the series are Side-scrolling video game, side-scrolling platformers with puzzle-solving and beat 'em up elements. Shinya Kumazaki
is a Japanese video game director, game designer, HAL Laboratory employee, and painter who is the current general director of the ''Kirby'' series and voice of King Dedede. Masahiro Sakurai
is a Japanese video game director and game designer best known as the creator of the ''Kirby'' and '' Super Smash Bros.'' series. Apart from his work on those series, he also led the design of ''Meteos'' in 2005 and directed '' Kid Icarus: Uprising'' in 2012. Formerly an employee of HAL Laboratory, he left the company in 2003 and in 2005 with his wife Michiko Sakurai (also ex-HAL Laboratory), they founded Sora Ltd., a shell company that works on a freelance basis on several projects. formerly shortened as HALKEN (derived from its native name), is a Japanese video game developer founded on 21 February 1980. While independent, it has been closely tied with Nintendo throughout its history, and is often referred to as a second-party developer for the company.
