December To Dismember (2006)
The 2006 December to Dismember was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) List of WWE pay-per-view events, event produced by WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It was held primarily for wrestlers from the promotion's ECW (WWE brand), ECW WWE brand extension, brand division and was WWE's only PPV to be ECW-exclusive. The event took place on December 3, 2006, at the James Brown Arena in Augusta, Georgia. Despite it being an ECW-branded pay-per-view, some wrestlers from the Raw (WWE brand), Raw and SmackDown (WWE brand), SmackDown! brands also worked the show. It was the second and final event in the ECW December to Dismember, December to Dismember chronology, after the original December to Dismember (1995), 1995 event that was held by the former Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion; WWE acquired the assets of Extreme Championship Wrestling in 2003 and launched their own ECW brand in May 2006. James Fullington (born June 16, 1963), better known by his ring name The Sandman, is a semi-retired American professional wrestler, best known for his career with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), where he developed into a smoking and drinking "Hardcore Icon" and held the ECW World Heavyweight Championship a record five times. In sports, a card lists the matches taking place in a title match combat-sport event. Cards include a main event match and the undercard listing the rest of the matches. The undercard may be divided into a midcard and a lower card, according to the perceived importance of the matches. Promoters schedule matches to occur in ascending order of importance. The Hardys
The Hardys, also known as The Hardy Boyz, are an American professional wrestling tag team consisting of real-life brothers Matt and Jeff Hardy, who are currently appearing in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Tag team wrestling is a type of professional wrestling in which matches are contested between teams of multiple wrestlers. Pinfall is the term used in professional wrestling which is a way to win the match for that person or team. Background A pinfall is a victory condition in various forms of professional wrestling that is met by holding (pinning) an opponent's shoulders on the wrestling mat, usually until the referee counts to three.
