Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics ( ) are an American professional basketball team based in Boston. The Celtics compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. Theodor Borchgrevink
Theodor Borchgrevink (16 February 1923 – 2 December 2015) was a Norwegian engineer of transport and highways. He worked in the United States during the advent of the Interstate Highway System, and returned to Norway in 1963 where he advanced to the upper echelon of the Norwegian Directorate of Public Roads. Early life and career He was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in Stabekk. He enrolled at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1941, but the studies were interrupted by World War II. Borchgrevink fled from occupied Norway to England via Sweden, and was enrolled in the Royal Norwegian Air Force-in-exile where he worked in Belgium and the Netherlands. Sandy Berger
Samuel Richard "Sandy" Berger (October 28, 1945 – December 2, 2015) was an attorney who served as the 18th US National Security Advisor for US President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001 after he had served as the Deputy National Security Advisor for the Clinton administration from 1993 to 1997. In 2005, he was fined and sentenced to two years of probation, plus community service, for the unauthorized removal of classified material from the National Archives. He gave up his license to practice law. Early life Berger was born to a Jewish family in Millerton, New York, where his parents ran an Army-Navy store. Antonio Troyo Calderón (October 18, 1923 – December 1, 2015) was a Costa Rican Prelate of the Catholic Church. Troyo Calderón was born in Cartago and was ordained a priest on November 30, 1947. Marjorie Oludhe Macgoye
Marjorie Phyllis Oludhe Macgoye (21 October 1928 – 1 December 2015), was born in Southampton, England, but immigrated to Kenya soon after Kenya became independent. She was a poet, novelist, and a missionary bookseller. She studied at the University of London for both her bachelor and master’s degree. She moved to Kenya in 1954 to sell books and became a citizen in 1964. After immigrating to Kenya, she began pursuing a career of being an author. At first, she published stories in magazines. As her success grew, she started writing works of longer length. In early 1970, her novels and poetry were being published. She has won awards for many of her works such as ''Growing Up at Lina School, Murder in Majengo'', but her most notable novel is ''Coming to Birth.'' Her award-winning novels portrays the life of a Kenyan woman during the time period 1956–1978. While in Kenya, Marjorie met Macgoye, her husband, who is a medical doctor. Xavier Olea Muñoz
Xavier Olea Muñoz (December 1, 1923 – December 1, 2015) was a Mexican lawyer, prosecutor, diplomat, and politician. He briefly served as the Governor of Guerrero from January 31, 1975, until April 1, 1975, after his predecessor, Governor Israel Nogueda Otero, was removed from office. Olea Muñoz also served as the Ambassador of Mexico to several countries. In 1976, he was appointed Ambassador of Mexico to France. He then served as Ambassador to Japan, as well as concurrent Ambassador to South Korea, from 1977 until 1979. Olea Muñoz was born in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico, on December 1, 1923. He received a bachelor's from the School of Law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and completed law school four years later. Trevor Obst
Trevor Obst (21 June 1940 – 1 December 2015) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Port Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) during the 1960s and 1970s. Nicknamed "Bubbles", Obst was a back pocket specialist but occasionally ventured into the forward line and was used at times as a rover. In 1967 he was a surprise winner of the Magarey Medal, becoming the tenth Port Adelaide player to have won the award. He was a member of Port Adelaide premiership teams in 1959, 1962, 1963 and 1965. When he retired in 1972 he had played 205 games for the club as well as six interstate matches for South Australia.
