Day Of Mourning (album)
''Day of Mourning'' is the fourth studio album by Canadian deathcore band Despised Icon. It was released September 22, 2009 through Century Media Records. The album is featured in four different editions, including; the standard, the United States exclusive Hot Topic edition, the Europe Exclusive LTD digipak edition, the iTunes edition and the Japanese edition. Background ''Day of Mourning'' was recorded during early 2009 at Projecson Recording Studio and was produced by their former guitarist, Yannick, St-Amand and was mixed by Andreas Magnusson and mastered by Alan Douches. The album marks the first Despised Icon release to feature guitarist Ben Landreville and bassist Max Lavelle in the band. The song "MVP" was released as the album's first single on July 17, 2009. Despised Icon
Despised Icon is a Canadian deathcore band from Montreal, Quebec. Formed in 2002, the band is noted for the talent of its drummer, Alex Pelletier, who makes frequent use of the blasting technique, as well as for its dual lead vocalists; Alex Erian and Steve Marois. Erian makes use of a mid-range growl technique while Marois performs high-pitched fry shrieks, deeper growled vocals and pig squeals. In April 2010, the band disbanded, but officially re-formed six years later in April 2016 after playing reunion shows in 2014 and 2015. Collectively the group has released six full-length albums while succumbing to very few lineup changes throughout their run. Sound recording and reproduction is the electrical, mechanical, electronic, or digital inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. The two main classes of sound recording technology are analog recording and digital recording. Cryptopsy is a Canadian technical death metal band from Montreal, formed in 1988. History Necrosis (1988–1992) Necrosis was formed in April 1988 by drummer Mike Atkin, guitarist Steve Thibault and vocalist Dan "Lord Worm" Greening, initially under the name Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Beneath the Massacre is a Canadian technical death metal band from Montreal, Quebec. Their debut EP ''Evidence of Inequity'', was released in 2005, under Galy Records. In early 2006, the band signed with Prosthetic Records and released their first full-length album, '' Mechanics of Dysfunction'', on the label on February 20, 2007. They were on the 2007 Brutalitour alongside Animosity, As Blood Runs Black, and the Faceless. Ion Dissonance
Ion Dissonance is a Canadian mathcore band from Montreal, Quebec. They are known for their technical style, which switched to a more groove based style with the release of their 2007 album ''Minus the Herd''. In total, the group have released five full-length albums and are well known in the Montreal music scene. History Antoine Lussier and Sebastien Chaput formed Ion Dissonance during the late summer of 2001 with the intention of creating a fusion of hardcore and metal that was more complex and daring than what they have done before. Jean-François Richard would join shortly after on drums. With these members, their sound started to take shape, but they still required a few more individuals to fill some parts. Electric Guitar
An electric guitar is a guitar that requires external amplification in order to be heard at typical performance volumes, unlike a standard acoustic guitar (however combinations of the two - a semi-acoustic guitar and an electric acoustic guitar exist).
