Day By Day (Soviet TV Series)
Day by Day (russian: День за днём, Den' za dnyom) is a Soviet drama TV series directed by Vsevolod Shilovsky and written by . It ran for 17 episodes from 1971 to 1972. It was the first dramatic television series filmed by Soviet Central Television. Plot The series revolves around the residents of a large communal apartment, who belong to different families, in particular, the Yakushevs and Banykins. Neighbors become almost relatives, and their fate is closely intertwined. The old house is going to be scrapped, and all neighbors will have to be resettled in different apartments. Vsevolod Nikolaevich Shilovsky (russian: Все́волод Никола́евич Шило́вский; born June 3, 1938, Moscow ) is a Soviet and Russian film and theater actor, film director, People's Artist of the RSFSR (1986). He was awarded the Order of Friendship (1997) and the Order of Honor (January 20, 2015)'. Russia-K (russian: Россия Культура, translit=Rossiya Kul'tura "Russia - Culture") is a Russian nationwide not-for-profit television channel that broadcasts shows regarding arts and culture. It belongs to the state-controlled VGTRK group. History The creation of ''Kultura'' channel was authorised on 25 August 1997 after the presidential Decree No. 919 was signed by Boris Yeltsin. Biography Lev Leshchenko was born on 1 February 1942 in Moscow, Soviet Union. His father, Valerian Andreyevich Leshchenko (1904–2004), was a Red Army officer who was at war outside of Moscow. Valentina Vasilevna Tolkunova (russian: Валенти́на Васи́льевна Толкуно́ва, 12 July 1946 – 22 March 2010) was a Soviet and Russian singer and was bestowed the title of Honored Artist of RSFSR (1979) and People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1987).
