Isyss was an American R&B girl group. The original members consisted of LeTecia Harrison, Ardena Clark, Quierra "Qui Qui" Davis-Martin and La'Myia Good La'Myia Janae Good–Bellinger (born September 27, 1979) is an American singer and actress. Good is best known for her voice work in the blockbuster PlayStation 3 game ''Killzone 3'' as the voice of Jammer and her work with R&B group Isyss. Goo ... (older sister of actress Meagan Good). Jason Terrance Phillips (born May 27, 1975), better known by his stage name Jadakiss, is an American rapper from Yonkers, New York. He began his career in the 1990s as a member of the rap trio The Lox, managed by Ruff Ryders and signed with Bad Boy Entertainment, Bad Boy. After leaving the label in 1999, they signed a joint venture deal between Interscope and Ruff Ryders. He is currently signed to Def Jam Recordings, Def Jam and D-Block. Jadakiss' debut solo album, ''Kiss Tha Game Goodbye'', was released in 2001. He has released three more solo studio albums, another album with the Lox, and an album with fellow rapper Fabolous. Release and reception The album peaked at fifty-five on the U.S. ''Billboard'' 200 and reached the twelfth spot on the R&B Albums chart. While Dan LeRoy of Allmusic did state that the group "offer an appealing twist or two on the formulaic approach of their competitors," he also noted that the group had no particularly distinctive voices, remarking "without one, the way they do it sounds too much like the way everyone else does it, too." Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. The genre features a distinctive record production style, drum machine-backed rhythms, pitch corrected vocals, and a smooth, lush style of vocal arrangement. Hip hop soul is a subgenre of contemporary R&B music, most popular during the early and mid 1990s, which fuses R&B or soul singing with hip hop musical production. The subgenre had evolved from a previous R&B subgenre, new jack swing, which had incorporated hip-hop influences into R&B music.
