Daytime
Daytime as observed on Earth is the period of the day during which a given location experiences natural illumination from direct sunlight. Daytime occurs when the Sun appears above the local horizon, that is, anywhere on the globe's hemisphere facing the Sun. In direct sunlight the movement of the sun can be recorded and observed using a sundial that casts a shadow that slowly moves during the day. Other planets and natural satellites that rotate relative to a luminous primary body, such as a local star, also experience daytime, but this article primarily discusses daytime on Earth. Characteristics Approximately half of Earth is illuminated at any time by the Sun. The area subjected to direct illumination is almost exactly half the planet; but because of atmospheric and other effects that extend the reach of indirect illumination, the area of the planet covered by either direct or indirect illumination amounts to slightly more than half the surface. The hemisphere of Eart ...

Reality (David Bowie Album)
''Reality'' is the 24th studio album by English musician David Bowie, originally released in Europe on 15September 2003, and the following day in America. His second release through his own ISO label, the album was recorded between January and May 2003 at Looking Glass Studios in New York City, with production by Bowie and longtime collaborator Tony Visconti. Envisioned by Bowie as a set of songs that could be played live, most of the musicians consisted of his then-touring band. A mostly straightforward rock album with a more direct sound compared to its predecessor '' Heathen'' (2002), ''Reality'' contains covers of the Modern Lovers' "Pablo Picasso" and George Harrison's "Try Some, Buy Some". One of the tracks, " Bring Me the Disco King", dated back to 1992. A primary theme throughout ''Reality'' concerns reflections on ageing, while other songs focus on despaired and diminished characters. The cover artwork depicts Bowie as an anime-style character that exhibited the idea ...

Steve Peregrin Took
Steve Peregrin Took (born Stephen Ross Porter; 28 July 1949 – 27 October 1980) was an English musician and songwriter, best known for his membership of the duo Tyrannosaurus Rex with Marc Bolan. After breaking with Bolan, he concentrated on his own singer-songwriting activities, either as a solo artist or as a frontman for several bands. Career Early life (1949–1967) and Tyrannosaurus Rex (1967–1969) Took was born Stephen Ross Porter in Eltham, London, on 28 July 1949, and attended Shooters Hill School. He took his name from the character Peregrin Took, a hobbit, in J. R. R. Tolkien's ''The Lord of the Rings''. "Days" is a song by the Kinks, written by lead singer Ray Davies, released as a single in 1968. It also appeared on an early version of the album '' The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society'' (released only in continental Europe and New Zealand). It now appears as a bonus track of the remastered CD. On the original Pye 7N 17573 label, the name of the song is "Day's" due to a grammatical error. Release and reception The song was an important single for Davies and the Kinks, coming in a year of declining commercial fortunes for the band. The song had been intended as an album track but after the relative failure of the previous single " Wonderboy" (which only reached No. 36 in the UK), "Days" was rushed out as a single with an old unreleased track " She's Got Everything" (recorded in February 1966 in the same session as "Dedicated Follower of Fashion") as the B-side. ''Billboard'' praised the single's "groovy rhythm" and "clever lyric." It reached No. 12 o ...
