Dawn French's Boys Who Do Comedy
''Dawn French's Boys Who Do Comedy'' is a British TV series in which comedian Dawn French interviews her favourite male comedians about how they came to be comedians. It is a follow-up and counterpart to '' Dawn French's Girls Who Do Comedy''. The full BBC One series consists of three 30-minute programmes with 35 comedians, sewn together as if they were a single discussion. Programme 1 is about how family and early life influenced their careers, programme 2 is about the comedians' early careers, and programme 3 is about the experience of standing on stage in front of an audience. The decision was taken early in the production process to film with three cameras, largely in close up, and with very sparing use of archive material. Each show features five or six archive clips of a variety of other comedians past and present. Dawn Roma French (born 11 October 1957) is a British actress, comedian, presenter and writer. French is known for writing and starring on the BBC comedy sketch show ''French and Saunders'' with her best friend and comedy partner, Jennifer Saunders, and played the lead role as Geraldine Granger in the BBC sitcom ''The Vicar of Dibley''. Noel Fielding
Noel Fielding (; (born 21 May 1973) is an English actor and comedian. He is best known for his work with The Mighty Boosh comedy troupe alongside Julian Barratt in the 2000s, and more recently as a co-presenter of ''The Great British Bake Off'' since 2017. He is known for his dark and surreal comedic style. In the 1990s, Fielding began performing stand-up comedy and met Barratt on the comedy circuit. Paul Rodriguez, Sr. (born January 19, 1955) is a Mexican-American actor and stand-up comedian. Early life Paul Rodriguez was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, to Mexican agriculture ranchers. Geoffrey McIntyre Rowe (8 March 1948 – 14 December 2021), known by his stage name Jethro, was a British stand-up comedian and singer from Cornwall. Early life Rowe was born in St Buryan, Cornwall, on 8 March 1948, the son of a farmer. After leaving school, he apprenticed as a carpenter and worked in the Levant tin mine. His father, Hugh, founded the St Buryan Male Voice Choir, and Jethro made his first stage appearances with the St Just District Operatic Society in St Just as a bass singer. Career Rowe started touring pubs and clubs in Cornwall, singing traditional songs. One night, he ran out of voice and could not sing any more, so he told a joke instead.
