David Wilson (American Football, Born 1991)
David Emmanuel Wilson (born June 15, 1991) is a former American football running back who played for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). Wilson played college football for Virginia Tech. He was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, 32nd overall. He was forced to retire after only two NFL seasons because of a career-ending neck injury. He is currently pursuing a career in music. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. Darren Evans
Darren Evans (born November 9, 1988) is a former American football running back. He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at Virginia Tech. Early years Evans attended Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a sophomore, he had 309 attempts for 2,248 yards and 27 touchdowns. As a senior, he was awarded Indiana's Mr. Football Award in 2006 (an honor given to the top high school football player in the state of Indiana) with 288 attempts 2731 yards and 61 touchdowns. Ryan Gene Williams (born April 9, 1990) is a former American football running back. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. The Virginia Tech Hokies football team represents Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in the sport of American football. The Hokies compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Frank Beamer
Franklin Mitchell Beamer (born October 18, 1946) is a retired American college football coach, most notably for the Virginia Tech Hokies, and former college football player. He is the father of current South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer. Beamer was a cornerback for Virginia Tech from 1966 to 1968. His coaching experience began in 1972, and from 1981 to 1986 Beamer served as the head football coach at Murray State University. He then went on to become the head football coach at Virginia Tech from 1987 until his final game in 2015. He was one of the longest tenured active coaches in NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision and, at the time of his retirement, was the winningest active coach at that level. The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) is the international governing body of gridiron associations. The IFAF oversees the IFAF World Championship of American Football, which is held every four years.
