Davey Watt
David John Watt (born 6 January 1978 in Townsville, Queensland) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider from Australia. He won the Queensland state championship in 2005 and was a member of the Australian team that finished second to Poland in the 2011 World Cup Final. Career summary Watt started his British speedway career in 2001 when he signed for the Isle of Wight Islanders in the Premier League. He rode as a substitute reserve rider for the Oxford Cheetahs in 2001 and 2002 and was therefore a member of the Elite League title winning team in 2001. The following year he signed for Premier League team Newcastle Diamonds. In 2002 he gained a team berth at King's Lynn Stars while also doubling up for his parent club the Poole Pirates, where he was part of the Pirates Elite League league winning team in 2003. David Anthony Watt (born 5 November 1946) is a British computer scientist. Watt is a professor at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. With Peter Mosses he developed action semantics, a combination of denotational semantics, operational and algebraic semantics. David Watt (judge)
David Watt is a Justice of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, to which he was appointed on October 12, 2007. Watt is a lawyer, judge, author, and professor. Early life He was educated at the University of Waterloo where he received a Bachelor of Arts in French and Criminology in 1967. He received an LL.B from Queen's University Law School and was a Silver Medalist. Watt was called to the Bar in 1972. From 1972-1977 Watt worked as a lawyer, and was the Deputy Director of the Criminal Appeals and Special Prosecutions Branch. From 1977-1985 was Senior Crown Counsel with the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario and was responsible for argument of criminal appeals before the Ontario Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. David Watt (New Zealand Cricketer)
David Glendenning Watt (21 July 1920 – 29 August 1996) was a New Zealand cricketer and periodontist. In his only first-class match, which he played for Otago in the 1943–44 season, he scored a century. Life and career Born in Ashburton, where his father was a dentist, David Watt attended Timaru Boys' High School before studying dentistry at the University of Otago. After completing his degree in 1943 he spent a year teaching at the university's medical school before returning to Ashburton and taking over his father's dental practice. While working at the university and representing the University club in senior Dunedin cricket, Watt was selected to be twelfth man for Otago in a first-class match against Canterbury in Christchurch over the Christmas period in 1943. When one of the Otago players, Bill McDougall, was unable to travel to Christchurch for the match, Watt took his place in the team. Davie Watt
David Paterson Watt (1885 – 25 April 1917) was a Scottish professional golfer. He won the Scottish Professional Championship in 1914. He was one of the few left-handed golfers of the period. Watt was in the Cameron Highlanders during World War I but died following a leg amputation. Early life Watt was born in 1885 in Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland. He had four golfing brothers: Jim, John, Robert and Willie. Golf career While at Dirleton, Watt was runner-up to Willie Binnie in the 1909 Dunlop Cup, taking the second prize of £5. In 1910 Watt became the professional at Mortonhall Golf Club, just south of Edinburgh. Watt was runner-up in the 1912 Scottish Professional Championship. at Dunbar, 5 strokes behind his brother Willie. He took the second prize of £15. He went one better in the 1914 Championship at Glen Golf Club, beating Willie by 2 strokes and winning the first prize of £20.
