David Washington
David Edward Washington (born November 20, 1990) is an American professional baseball first baseman and outfielder for the York Revolution of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles. Career St. Louis Cardinals Washington attended University City High School in San Diego, California and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 15th round of the 2009 MLB Draft. He played in the Cardinals organization until 2016. Baltimore Orioles On November 22, 2016, Washington signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles organization. On June 14, 2017, Washington was selected to the 40-man roster and promoted to the major leagues for the first time. The Baltimore Orioles are an American professional baseball team based in Baltimore. Designated for assignment (DFA) is a contractual term used in Major League Baseball (MLB). A player who is designated for assignment is immediately removed from the team's 40-man roster, after which the team must within seven days, return the player to the 40-man roster, place the player on waivers, trade the player, release the player, or outright the player from the 40-man roster into Minor League Baseball. Governance MLB player transactions are governed by ''The Official Professional Baseball Rules Book''. The Saraperos de Saltillo (English: Saltillo Serape Wearers) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League. Their home ballpark is the Estadio de Béisbol Francisco I. The league has 18 teams organized in two divisions, North and South. Teams play 114 games each season.
