David Thomas (Canadian Football)
David "Peanuts" Thomas (born September 11, 1951) is a former American football cornerback. Thomas was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1951 and attended William M. Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He played college football at Texas Southern from 1970 to 1973. He began playing professional football in the World Football League The World Football League (WFL) was an American football league that played one full season in 1974 and most of its second in 1975. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties.
