David Pole (politician)
David Graham Pole (11 December 1877 – 26 November 1952) was a British lawyer and Labour Party politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for South Derbyshire from 1929 to 1931. His parents were John Pole, a ship's captain, and Rossina Graham, both from Shetland. Pole was an unsuccessful candidate at four times: in East Grinstead at the 1918 general election; at the Edinburgh North by-election in 1920; in Cardiff South 1922 general election; and in Cardiff Central 1924 general election. He was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for South Derbyshire at the 1929 general election, but was defeated at the 1931 general election by the Conservative Party candidate Paul Emrys-Evans Paul Vychan Emrys-Evans (1 April 1894 – 26 October 1967) was a British Conservative Party politician. David Pole (bishop)
David Pole (or Poole) (died May 1568) was an English Roman Catholic churchman and jurist; he was Bishop of Peterborough from 1557 until deprived by Queen Elizabeth I. Life He was a fellow of All Souls' College, Oxford, in 1520. He devoted himself to civil law, and graduated B.Can.L. on 2 July 1526 and D.Can.L. on 17 February 1527 – 1528. In 1529 he became an advocate in Doctors' Commons. He was connected with the diocese of Lichfield, where he held preferments, first under Bishop Geoffrey Blyth, and then under Bishop Rowland Lee. He was made prebendary of Tachbrook in Lichfield Cathedral on 11 April 1531, archdeacon of Salop in April 1536, and archdeacon of Derby on 8 January 1543. He received the appointment of dean of the arches and vicar-general of the archbishop of Canterbury on 14 November 1540. John David Pole (15 March 1926 – 25 May 2021), commonly known as David Pole, was an English health economist and civil servant. He was the Chief Economic Adviser to the Department of Health and Social Security in the early 1980s. Born on 15 March 1926, Pole's father John was a schoolteacher and his mother Gertrude (''née'' Bloor) was an accounts clerk. He attended Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys in Leicester. He served in the Intelligence Corps during and after the Second World War. Biography Pohle was born in Marienberg into a family of civic musicians. He was a pupil of Heinrich Schütz in Dresden.Snyder. He and his brother Samuel joined the ''Kapelle'' of Christian I, Duke of Saxe-Merseburg as instrumentalists. From 1650 to 1652 his presence at Kassel is documented. From 1653 he was at the Holstein-Gottorp court in Schleswig. In a baptismal record of 1660 he is named as "'' Concertmeister'' to the prince of Magdeburg", namely Augustus, Duke of Saxe-Weissenfels. Pohle became the ''Kapellmeister'' for the Duke's court at Halle that same year, succeeding Philipp Stolle. The poet and dramatist David Elias Heidenreich worked in the Saxon courts as an official, and provided the libretti for a number of the ''Singspiel'' operas that Pohle composed.
