David Andrew Pine (September 22, 1891 – June 11, 1970) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Education and career Born on September 22, 1891, in Washington, D.C., Pine received a Bachelor of Laws in 1913 from Georgetown Law. He served in the United States Department of Justice from 1914 to 1917, serving as a confidential clerk to Attorney General James Clark McReynolds from 1914 to 1916 and as a law clerk and assistant attorney from 1916 to 1917. He served in the United States Army from 1917 to 1919. He returned to the United States Department of Justice from 1919 to 1921, serving as an assistant attorney in 1919 and as special assistant to the Attorney General in western states from 1919 to 1921. David John Haskins (born 24 April 1957, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England), better known as David J, is a British alternative rock musician, producer, and writer. He is the bassist for the gothic rock band Bauhaus and for Love and Rockets. He has composed the scores for a number of plays and films, and also wrote and directed his own plays, ''Silver for Gold (The Odyssey of Edie Sedgwick)'', in 2008, which was restaged at REDCAT in Los Angeles in 2011, and ''The Chanteuse and The Devil's Muse'' in 2011. His artwork has been shown in galleries internationally, and he has been a resident DJ at venues such as the Knitting Factory. David J has released a number of singles and solo albums, and in 1990 he released one of the first No. 1 hits on the then nascent Modern Rock Tracks charts, with "I'll Be Your Chauffeur". The High Commissioner to India is New Zealand's foremost diplomatic representative in the India, and in charge of New Zealand's diplomatic mission in India. As fellow members of the Commonwealth of Nations, they exchange diplomatic relations in governmental level rather than through Heads of state. Dave Pine is an American politician and attorney serving as a member of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors for District 1, which includes the eastern two-thirds of South San Francisco and all of San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, and Hillsborough. Early life and education Dave Pine was born in Massachusetts and grew up in New Hampshire, where his father worked as a professor and his mother was a teacher. He has two siblings. While a freshman at Dartmouth College, Pine ran for and won a seat in the New Hampshire House of Representatives and at age 19, was one of the youngest ever elected. Pine served in the house from 1977 to 1979. After Dartmouth, Pine attended the University of Michigan Law School. He was a summer intern at Fenwick & West in Palo Alto (now located in Mountain View).
