David Robert Parry (born March 7, 1992) is an American football defensive tackle who is a free agent. He played college football at Stanford, and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. High school & college Raised in Daly City, California, before moving to Iowa, Parry attended Linn-Mar High School in Marion, Iowa, and was a three-year varsity letterwinner at offensive and defensive tackle. He then played for the Stanford Cardinal, and in 2014 was a finalist for the Burlsworth Trophy. Professional career Indianapolis Colts On May 2, 2015, Parry was drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He agreed to terms with the Colts on May 6. Parry started all 16 games in the 2015 season, recording 31 tackles and 1 sack. David Parry (date of birth unknown) was a Nevisian cricketer who played a single match for the Leeward Islands during the 1958 season. Little is known of Parry's life, other than that he originated from the town of Cotton Ground in Saint Thomas Lowland Parish. Having previously represented Nevis cricket team in several inter-island matches, he first played for the Leeward Islands in a match against the touring Pakistanis in February 1958. Parry's only match at first-class level came in July of the same year, in a match against Jamaica held at Melbourne Park, Kingston. Although usually considered an all-rounder, he scored a pair batted in the lower order during both innings of the match, and failed to take a wicket. David Anthony Dougall Parry is a New Zealand biophysicist known for his work within the area of ultrastructure scleroprotein analysis. He is the former President of the International Union for Pure and Applied Biophysics and former Vice President of the International Council for Science (ICSU). His awards include an ICI Prize (1981), Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand (1989), the Hercus Medal (2000), the Shorland Medal (2006), and the Rutherford Medal (2008). In the 2007 New Year Honours, he was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to biophysics. In 2010 he was awarded the Dan Walls Medal. Parry has a Bachelor of Science (1963) and a Doctor of Science (1982) from the University of London and a Doctor of Philosophy (1966) from King's College London. David Parry (1937 – 1 June 2022) was a British dialectologist. He received his education from the University of Sheffield and the University of Leeds; working at the latter school for the renowned dialectologist Harold Orton. He then taught dialectology for almost three decades at Swansea University. Parry is best known for establishing the Survey of Anglo-Welsh Dialects (SAWD) at Swansea University. He founded the SAWD in 1968 with the aim of recording the "conservative forms" of Welsh English spoken in rural locations in Wales using the same methodology as the Survey of English Dialects (1950-1961). David Parry (1682? – December 1714) was a Welsh scholar and assistant to the naturalist Edward Lhuyd. He was Keeper of the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford from 1709 until his death in 1714. Life Parry, who was born in Cardigan, Wales, in about 1682, was educated at the grammar school in Cardigan before coming to the attention of Edward Lhuyd in about 1695. Lhuyd took Parry on his travels in Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Brittany. They were imprisoned as spies for a time in Brittany, but returned to Oxford in April 1701. Parry then matriculated that year Jesus College, Oxford. Lhuyd's efforts to obtain a scholarship for Parry were, however, thwarted by John Wynne, one of the Fellows of the college. Sir David Hughes Parry (3 January 1893 – 8 January 1973) was a university administrator, Professor of Law and Vice-Chancellor of the University of London from 1945 to 1948. He was also founder of the university's Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in 1947. Early life He was born to a hill farming family in Llanaelhaearn, in the administrative county of Caernarvonshire (now Gwynedd), in the Llŷn Peninsula of north Wales. The family were Welsh-speaking and deeply religious. He learnt English only after he started school.
