Morris is an American major general (retired) who is the founder and owner of Decisive Edge, LLC, a consulting firm focused on the development of business strategies for the Special Operations and intelligence communities. Military career and background Morris graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1975 and served on active duty as an Infantry and Special Forces officer until 1984. His active duty assignments were highlighted by a tour as a Special Forces detachment commander and advisor during the Salvadoran Civil War in 1980 and 1981 while a member of the 7th Special Forces Group. He also served as a Special Forces instructor at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in addition to operational assignments with Special Forces units. David Morris (born 27 November 1988 in Kilkenny) is an Irish snooker player. In the 2015-2016 he was ranked as Ireland's number 3 player, after Fergal O'Brien and Ken Doherty. Career Early career Aged 16, he reached the quarter finals of the U21 World Snooker Championships. He has been Irish champion at every level, winning the overall National championship every year from 2004 to 2006 (becoming the youngest ever winner in 2004). For 2006–07 snooker season, 2006–07 he made his debut on the main tour, reaching the last 64 in two tournaments. His best run in the 2007–2008 season was to the last 48 of the UK Championships, where he lost to Dave Harold (who also defeated him in qualifying for the previous year's Welsh Open). David John Morris (born 31 August 1984) is an Australian Olympic aerial/freestyle skier who competed in 3 Winter Olympic Games in 2010, 2014 and 2018. He is Australia's most successful male aerial skier, having competed across FIS World Cup, World Championships and Winter Olympic competitions. David Morris is a Canadian retired soccer defender who played professionally in the USL First Division. He was the 1999 USL Premier Development League Rookie of the Year. Morris attended, and played soccer, at Capilano College. In 1996, Capilano won the Canadian college championship. Morris was the tournament MVP. In 1999, Morris signed with the Abbotsford 86ers of the USL Premier Development League. His outstanding play, fourteen goals in fifteen games, led to his selection as the USL PDL Rookie of the Year. It also led to his being called up to the Vancouver 86ers five times that season. In 2000, Morris made a permanent move to Vancouver where he played until 2007. David Hyman Morris (25 November 1897 – 1 December 1985), known as Harry Morris or Abe Morris, was an English professional football forward and coach, best remembered for his seven-year spell in the Football League with Swindon Town. Morris was voted Swindon Town's greatest-ever player by the club's supporters in 2013 and holds the club records for goals scored in a league match, season and career. He also played league football for Fulham, Brentford, Millwall, Swansea Town and Clapton Orient and later managed IFK Göteborg. David Main Liston Morris (1897 – 1971) was a Scottish footballer who played as a centre half for Newtongrange Star, Arniston Rangers, Raith Rovers, Preston North End, Chester City, Dundee United and Scotland national team. After moving from the junior level where he had combined football with work as a shipbuilder in his native Leith, Morris helped Raith Rovers achieve their best-ever Scottish Football League finishes of third in 1921–22 then fourth in 1923–24 before going south to Preston in December 1925, a few months after Alex James made the same move. However, the pair (and several other Scots in the squad) were unable to achieve promotion from the English second division and both departed from Deepdale in 1929. After two years with Chester, he returned to Scotland with Dundee United in 1931. David Thomas Morris (born 3 January 1966) is a British Conservative Party politician, former musician and businessman serving as Member of Parliament (MP) for Morecambe and Lunesdale since 2010. Early life Morris was born on 3 January 1966 in Leigh, Lancashire. The son of an ex-Royal Navy Lieutenant Commander who served as Director of Maritime Affairs for the Bahamas, he spent much of his youth abroad. He was privately educated at St Andrew's School in Nassau, Bahamas, Kowloon School, Hong Kong and Lowton High School in Greater Manchester.
