David Johnson (Arkansas Politician)
David Edward Johnson is an American politician and lawyer. He served as an Arkansas state senator from 2009 to 2017 and as an Arkansas state representative from 2005 until 2009. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Personal life and education Johnson earned a BA from Georgetown University in 1991 and a JD from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1997. Johnson is the father of three daughters: Sydney, Emery, and Ansley Johnson. Career Prior to serving in public office, Johnson served as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Dale Bumpers, and was also a deputy prosecutor in Pulaski County. Johnson was elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives in 2004, and served there until he was elected to the Arkansas Senate in 2008. As a state senator, Johnson championed legislation to promote children's dental health. Jim Argue
James B. Argue Jr. (August 19, 1951 – May 3, 2018) was the President Pro Tempore of the Arkansas State Senate, United States. He was a Democratic member of the Arkansas Senate, representing the 32nd District from 1996 to 2008. Previously he was a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1991 through 1996 Argue attended Little Rock Public Schools, graduated from Little Rock Hall High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Hendrix College in 1973. Dale Bumpers
Dale Leon Bumpers (August 12, 1925 – January 1, 2016) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 38th Governor of Arkansas (1971–1975) and in the United States Senate (1975–1999). He was a member of the Democratic Party. Prior to his death, he was counsel at the Washington, D.C., office of law firm Arent Fox LLP, where his clients included Riceland Foods and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Pulaski County is located in the U.S. state of Arkansas with a population of 399,125, making it the most populous county in Arkansas. The county is included in the Little Rock–North Little Rock– Conway metropolitan area. Its county seat is Little Rock, which is also Arkansas's capital and largest city. Pulaski County is Arkansas's fifth county, formed on December 15, 1818, alongside Clark and Hempstead Counties.
