David Isaac
David Isaac, CBE is a British solicitor and Provost of Worcester College, Oxford, where he took office in July 2021. He was previously a partner at Pinsent Masons. He was appointed as the chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission in 2016, serving in that capacity until August 2020. He is also chair of the Court of Governors at University of the Arts London (2018–present). He was previously chair of Stonewall from 2003 to 2012. He was a director of the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund (2005–2014), the Big Lottery Fund (2014–2018)Black Mountains College(2019–20) and a trustee of 14-18 NOW (2016–2019). Isaac was appointed a CBE in the 2011 Queen's Birthday Honours list for services to equality and diversity and was ranked 36th in the OUTstanding top 100 LGBT executives in October 2018. The 1980 United States House of Representatives elections was an election for the United States House of Representatives in 1980 which coincided with the election of Ronald Reagan as President, defeating Democratic incumbent President Jimmy Carter. Reagan's victory also allowed many Republican House candidates to secure elections. The Republicans gained a net of 35 seats from the Democratic Party. The Democrats nonetheless retained a significant majority, unlike the Senate elections, where Republicans gained control of the chamber. However, many Democratic congressmen from the south (known as " Boll weevils") frequently took conservative stances on issues, allowing Republicans to have a working ideological majority for some of President Reagan's proposals during his first two years in office. "Way to Go!" is a song by Australian electronic rock band Rogue Traders from their second album, ''Here Come the Drums'' (2005). It was released as the album's second single on 10 October 2005 and is the first release under the famous "Rogue Traders" logo. In the UK, the single had a different cover. The reason is that since the band had a new drummer, they were unable to use the original cover in the UK release. Chart performance "Way to Go!" debuted at number 15 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart on 23 October 2005. In its second week on the chart, the song descended to number 17 but re-ascended to number 9 on its third week. During its fifth week, "Way to Go!" ascended to its peak at number 7, becoming the group's third top-ten single, and was certified gold by ARIA for shipping over 35,000 copies.
