Dave Hernandez
Dave Hernandez (born September 20, 1970, Guadalajara, Mexico) is a Mexican guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is best known as a former member of the American indie rock band The Shins, with whom he recorded four studio albums. Hernandez is currently the guitarist of the post-punk band The Intelligence, and is the former vocalist and guitarist of the punk band Scared of Chaka. Hernandez met Shins frontman James Mercer when both lived in Albuquerque playing in underground bands in the early/mid 1990s. Hernandez's punk band Scared of Chaka and Mercer's indie pop band Flake were both part of the thriving Albuquerque independent rock scene that spawned bands like The Drags, The Rondelles, and Henrys Dress. Among the other bands Hernandez has played in are Broadcast Oblivion, The Charming Snakes, and The Boskos. He has played guitar on records by Big Business and Sean Na Na. David Hernández de la Fuente (born 1974 in Madrid) is a Spanish writer, translator and university lecturer who is specialized in Classics. Biography Hernández de la Fuente was born in Madrid in 1974 and he studied at the Complutense University of Madrid. He obtained university degrees in Classics, Spanish Philology and Law from Madrid University and a PhD in Classics (2005), supervised by Carlos García Gual, and Sociology (2011), supervised by Antonio López Peláez and Sagrario Segado Sánchez-Cabezudo. After the completion of his PhD, he has been lecturer of Classical Studies at the Charles III University of Madrid, Fellow of the Humboldt Foundation at the Chair of Ancient History of the University of Potsdam and Professor at the Department of Ancient History at the Spanish National University of Distance Education (UNED). The Jacques Herbrand Prize (French language, French: Prix Jacques Herbrand) is an award given by the French Academy of Sciences#Medals, awards and prizes, French Academy of Sciences to young researchers (up to 35 years) in the field of mathematics, physics, and their non-military applications. David Anthony Hernandez (born May 31, 1983) is an American singer and the twelfth place finalist of FOX's seventh season of the television series ''American Idol''. He moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue his music career after his time on ''American Idol''. Early life Hernandez was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but grew up mostly in Glendale. He was raised by his single mom, Spring Hernandez. His father is a truck driver and he has a younger sister named Alexandra, 8 years his junior. He began singing at age six. His grandfather took him to his first audition for a local theater company, Valley Youth Theater. David was chosen for one of the lead roles, and decided on a career singing and performing. David Jose Hernandez (born May 13, 1985) is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles, Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Angels, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Cincinnati Reds. He attended Cosumnes River College. Professional career Baltimore Orioles Hernandez, who is of Mexican-American descent, was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 16th round (483rd overall pick) of the 2005 MLB draft. Hernandez made his MLB debut against the Detroit Tigers on May 28, 2009. He went 5 innings. He gave up five hits, allowed four walks, and one earned run while striking out three.
