David Denis Gardner (born 11 September 1940) is a former English cricketer. Gardner was a right-handed batsman. He was born at Swindon, Wiltshire. Gardner made his Minor Counties Championship debut for Wiltshire in 1959 against the Gloucestershire Second XI. From 1959 to 1970, he represented the county in 33 Minor Counties Championship matches, the last of which came against Berkshire. In 1976, he returned to play a single Championship match for Wiltshire against Berkshire. Gardner also represented Wiltshire in 2 List-A matches. His debut List-A match came against Nottinghamshire in the 1965 Gillette Cup, with his second and final List-A match coming against Essex in the 1969 Gillette Cup. In his 2 List-A matches, he scored 31 runs at a batting average of 15.50, with a high score of 20. In the field he took a single catch. David Gardner (fiddler)
David M. Gardner is a Scottish fiddle performer, teacher, and judge. In the 1980s, while a student at the College of William and Mary, he began studying music with John Turner. Though he graduated with a degree in anthropology and archaeology and spent some time as a teacher, he continued pursuing traditional Scottish music. Gardner regularly plays in Colonial Williamsburg, and is a member of The Virginia Company—an 18th-century music trio which has performed in the Kennedy Center and other notable venues. He has won numerous regional fiddling competitions, and placed third in the 2009 national championships after initially being part of a three-way tie for first place. He is also a Scottish FIRE-sanctioned judge, and has judged numerous national competitions. He also teaches private lessons, workshops, and at music camps. David Richmond Gardner (31 March 1873 – 5 November 1931) was a Scottish footballer, who played as a left-back. Born in Glasgow, Gardner started his footballing career with Third Lanark before moving south to play for Newcastle United and Grimsby Town. In 1904 he joined West Ham United. Gardner made his West Ham debut on 1 September 1904 in a 3–0 home win against Millwall. He played 80 games without scoring before joining Croydon Common in 1907. He died in 1931. David Calvin Gardner (born August 23, 1952) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who played 350 National Hockey League (NHL) games for the Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, California Golden Seals, Cleveland Barons and Philadelphia Flyers. Career Gardner was drafted eighth overall by Montreal in the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft from the Toronto Marlboros after having won the Red Tilson Trophy as the Ontario Hockey League's Most Outstanding Player. As a youth, Gardner played in the 1964 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Leaside. David S. Gardner (died 1913) was a British trade unionist. Born in Glasgow, Gardner was a member of the Amalgamated Society of Engineers (ASE). In 1893, he was elected to its new executive, representing Division 1 (Scotland and Carlisle), which required him to move to London. Gardner supported the Independent Labour Party (ILP), and argued unsuccessfully that the union should support G. N. Barnes as an ILP candidate in the 1894 Govan by-election. He was a leader of the opposition to general secretary John Anderson, arguing as early as 1893 that he should be removed from office for drunkenness. Anderson was eventually dismissed in 1896, and Barnes succeeded him. Gardner, with Barnes, argued in 1900 that the union should affiliate to the new Labour Representation Committee, something supported by the membership but on very low turnouts. Engerica were an English alternative rock band heavily influenced by metal, grunge and punk. The several styles incorporated into their music made them difficult to categorise for music fans and industry professionals. Despite that the band gained a cult like following and towards the end of their career received support from major British music industry publications including ''Kerrang!'', ''Rock Sound'', '' Big Cheese'' and ''Metal Hammer'' music magazines. Members and history Engerica formed in Essex in 2000 featuring David Gardner on lead vocals and guitar, Mike Webster on Bass and backing vocals and Neil-Ross Gregory on drums, percussion and backing vocals. David Gardner (June 11, 1926 – September 22, 1983), known as Brother Dave Gardner, was a U.S. comedian, professional drummer and singer. A Tennessee native, Gardner studied drumming, beginning at age 13. After a one-semester term as a Southern Baptist ministerial student at Union University in his hometown of Jackson, Tennessee, he began a musical career as a drummer and occasional vocalist. After a pair of demo singles for Decca Records around 1956, he had a 1957 Top-20 hit on OJ Records with "White Silver Sands". It was his comedic routines between songs, however, that brought him to the attention of RCA Records artist and producer Chet Atkins.
