David Ford (actor)
David Ford (born David Conant Ford; October 30, 1925 – August 7, 1983) was a TV, film and stage actor. He was known for roles on TV's ''Dark Shadows'' (1966–1971) and ''Search for Tomorrow'' (1951), and as John Hancock in both the ''1776'' Broadway musical and its film adaptation. Career He appeared in the role of Sam Evans, the alcoholic widower, artist, and father of Maggie Evans (Kathryn Leigh Scott) on the ABC-TV serial ''Dark Shadows'' from 1966 to 1968. He assumed the role when Mark Allen, who originated the role, departed following episode 22 of the first year. He also played Andre du Pres, the father of Josette du Pres, in the show's 1795 storyline. He later played the contract role of Karl Devlin on the CBS soap opera ''Search for Tomorrow''. Terry Harknett
Terry Harknett (11 December 1936 - 23 January 2019) was a British author. He was author of almost 200 books, mostly pulp novels in the western and crime genres. He wrote under an array of pseudonyms, including George G. Gilman, Joseph Hedges, William M. James, Charles R. Pike, Thomas H. Stone, Frank Chandler, Jane Harman, Alex Peters, William Pine, William Terry, James Russell and David Ford. On at least one occasion he wrote as a ghostwriter for Peter Haining (for novel ''The Hero''). Some bibliographies, e.g. Fantastic Fiction, list Adam Hardy as one of Harknett's pseudonyms, in fact a nom de plume of Kenneth Bulmer. This is an error resulting from incorrect copyright information printed in one of the Edge westerns. David James Ford (born 16 May 1978 in Dartford, Kent) is an English singer-songwriter, guitarist and songwriter. He first achieved prominence with the indie rock group Easyworld, who released an independent mini-album, ''...Better Ways to Self Destruct'' and two full-length albums on Jive Records before disbanding in 2004. As a solo artist, he has released six albums to date, two of which were named "Album of The Year" in both The Sunday Times and Word Magazine. David Ford (born 2 March 1945) is an English former professional footballer, who played as a winger for Sheffield Wednesday, Newcastle United, Sheffield United and Halifax Town. His career lasted from 1965 to 1976 during which time he made 245 league appearances with 15 as substitute and scored 42 goals. He was an attacking right sided player. Dave Ford
David Alan Ford (born December 29, 1956) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Ford attended Lincoln-West High School, and after graduating in 1975, was selected with the 23rd pick by the Orioles in the 1975 Major League Baseball draft. Ford started his career in the minor league with Bluefield and Miami in 1975, pitching 52 and 12 innings respectively for the two clubs. In 1976, while playing for Charlotte of the Southern League (1964–2020), Southern League, he pitched 212 innings, posted a 17–7 record, and had an earned run average, ERA of 2.50 over 27 games. For his efforts, Ford was named Southern League's Pitcher of the Year. The next season, he pitched for the Rochester Red Wings of the International League, and finished the season with a 9–14 record and a 4.81 ERA. David Watson Ford (born March 23, 1967 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian slalom canoeist who has competed since the mid-1980s and is still actively competing. He is Canada's most successful slalom paddler. Career Ford has won two medals in the K1 event at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships. In 1999 he became the first non-European to win the World Championship title. Ford followed up with a World Championship silver in 2003. In 2003 he also won the overall World Cup title in K1. He was named Male Athlete of the Year at the 2003 Canadian Sport Awards, and was inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. David Everard Ford (1797–1875) was an English Congregational minister, religious author and hymn composer. Ford was born on 13 September 1797 at Long Melford in Suffolk, where his father, the Rev. David Ford, was Congregational minister. In 1816 he entered Wymondley College, and in 1821 became Congregational minister at Lymington in Hampshire. Sir David Robert Ford, (; 22 February 1935 – 10 September 2017) was the fifth and the last non-ethnic Chinese Chief Secretary of Hong Kong and Deputy Governor of Hong Kong from 1987 to 1993 and was Hong Kong Commissioner in London until 1997. Biography Ford was born on 22 February 1935 and educated at the Taunton School in southwest England. He joined the military service at 20 as a regular army officer in the Royal Artillery, serving in 17 different countries on five different continents. David Ford (born 1944) is a British organizational theorist, Professor Emeritus at the University of Bath School of Management, and co-founder of the International Marketing and Purchasing Group (IMP Group) in the mid 1970s. He is known for his work with Håkan Håkansson on business networks. Biography Ford obtained his BSc in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Salford, his MSc at the University of Bradford, and his PhD at the Manchester Business School.
