David Fitzpatrick (footballer, Born 1990)
David James Fitzpatrick (born 28 February 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left back for club Avro. He began his career playing semi-professional football for Northwich Victoria and New Mills in the Northern Premier League. He won the Cheshire Senior Cup with Northwich in 2011, scoring both goals in the final. He joined Southport in 2013. He established himself in the Conference Premier with 80 league appearances in two seasons, also winning three caps for the England C team. He signed with Macclesfield Town in September 2015 and soon established himself in the first team, helping the club to reach the 2017 FA Trophy final. He played all 46 league games of the 2017–18 National League title-winning campaign and made his debut in the English Football League the next season at the age of 28. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. Haig Avenue is a football stadium in Blowick, Southport, Merseyside, England, that holds 6,008 people (1,660 seated, 4,164 standing) Since its opening in 1905 it has been the home ground of Southport F.C. The 2013–14 Football Conference season is the tenth season with the Conference consisting of three divisions and the thirty-fourth season overall. Alan Geoffrey Wright (born 28 September 1971) is an English football manager and former professional footballer. He was a left back who has played over 750 league and cup games for eight clubs, including an eight-year spell in the Premier League for Aston Villa. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season.
