David Donald (cricketer)
David Lindsay Donald (20 July 1933 – 3 October 2016) was a New Zealand cricketer who played first-class cricket for Northern Districts from 1957 to 1961. An opening batsman, David Donald had his best season in 1958–59, when he scored 382 runs in the Plunket Shield at an average of 38.20. Only two players scored more: the Test captain John Reid and Northern Districts' number four, Bruce Pairaudeau. Donald made his only first-class century in the match against Canterbury, which was one of only four centuries in the competition that season. Considered for the Test team, he was selected for North Island in the trial match against South Island towards the end of the season, and although he made 71, the highest score of the match, he was not selected in the two-match Test series against England that followed. David Martin Donald (born 9 November 1987) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender. David Herbert Donald (October 1, 1920 – May 17, 2009) was an American historian, best known for his 1995 biography of Abraham Lincoln. He twice won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography for earlier works; he published more than 30 books on United States political and literary figures and the history of the American South. Early life and education David Herbert Donald was born in Goodman, Mississippi, a town in the center of Holmes County. The county's western border is formed by the Yazoo River and it is part of the Mississippi-Yazoo Delta.
