David Doherty (politician)
David Doherty is a New Hampshire politician. Education Doherty graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury, Connecticut. He earned a B.A. in political science from Merrimack College in 1967 and an M.A. in guidance and psychology from Assumption College in 1969. Career Doherty previously worked as a guidance counselor, a position he retired from in 2008. He is a member of the Pembroke School Board, and has been since 2012. On November 4, 2014, Doherty was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives where he represents the Merrimack 20 district. He assumed office on December 3, 2014. He is a Democrat. Personal life Doherty resides in Pembroke, New Hampshire Pembroke is a town in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 7,207 at the 2020 census. David Doherty (rugby Union)
David Doherty (born 28 January 1987 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England) is an English rugby union footballer for the Yorkshire Carnegie in the RFU Championship, as a fullback or on the wing and he can also operate in the centre's. He joined Wasps after Leeds Tykes were relegated from the 2005-06 Guinness Premiership. He is a former rugby league junior with the Leeds Rhinos, but decided to pursue a career in the 15 a-side code. In May 2008, it was announced that Doherty would be joining Sale Sharks on a two-year contract. His contract was not renewed by Sale and in June 2010 he was released. In October 2010, it was announced that he had signed for National League 2 South team Jersey. Doherty made the perfect start to his Jersey career, scoring a try on his debut. On 21 April 2011, it was announced that Doherty would be joining RFU Championship side the Cornish Pirates at the end of the 2010-11 RFU Championship. David Nicholas O'Doherty (; born 18 December 1975) is an Irish comedian, author, musician, actor and playwright and son of renowned jazz pianist Jim Doherty. His stand-up has won many international awards including the if.comedy award in 2008 and Best International Comedian at the 2014 Sydney Comedy Festival. David Docherty is a British writer, journalist, academic, television executive and producer and former CEO of the National Centre for Universities and Business. He writes both fiction and non-fiction, the former falling into the thrillers genre and the latter being academic books relating to the media. He has also produced two plays for children. Career Educated at the University of Strathclyde and the London School of Economics, Docherty has had a lengthy career in the British media. David Dougherty
David Brian Dougherty (29 March 1967 – 20 April 2017) was a New Zealander who was wrongfully convicted in 1993 on charges of abduction and the rape of an 11-year-old girl. In 1997, when new DNA evidence ruled him out of the charge, Dougherty was acquitted after serving over three years in prison. He received a public apology in 2001 along with $868,728 in compensation. In 2003, the real offender, Nicholas Reekie, was found guilty and convicted of the crime. Dougherty's case was the subject of the 2008 New Zealand telemovie ''Until Proven Innocent'' which documents the miscarriage of justice that had Dougherty imprisoned. In November 2010, Dougherty pleaded guilty to a burglary charge. He admitted going to a Palmerston North property in October that year to collect money he was owed.
