David Day (Missouri Politician)
David A. Day is a Republican former member of Missouri House of Representatives, representing Camden, Laclede, and Pulaski Counties (District 148). Elected to the House in 2004, in 2006 Day was appointed aChairman of the House Veteran's Committeeand served in that position until he left office at the end of 2012 due to term limits. Day is also a member of the Southern Growth Policies Board, a non-partisan think tank that is made up of governors, legislators, business, and academic leaders from 13 states. The group focuses on improving the economy though innovation and technology, globalization and enhancing working environments. Most recently, Representative Day was appointed to the Missouri Sentencing Advisory Commission. Waynesville, MO
Waynesville is a city in and the county seat of Pulaski County, Missouri, United States. Its population was 5,406 at the 2020 census. Located in the heart of the Missouri Ozarks, it was one of the communities served by historic Route 66. History Waynesville was platted in 1839. The city was named for Anthony Wayne. The post office in Waynesville has been in operation since 1834. During the American Civil War, units of the 5th Missouri State Militia were sometimes garrisoned at Waynesville. Geography Waynesville is located on Roubidoux Creek, approximately south of the Gasconade River. The northern boundary of Fort Leonard Wood is about to the south. The Roubidoux Spring, 15th largest in the state, is located in the city limits. The Roubidoux Spring was also a stop on the infamous Trail of Tears.
