David Croft (born 22 February 1979 in Brisbane) is a former Australian rugby union player. He played openside flanker (Number 7) for the Queensland Reds, Melbourne Rebels (ARC) and Brothers. He also won 5 caps representing Australia and was included in the squad that took part in the 2003 Rugby World Cup The 2003 Rugby World Cup was the fifth Rugby World Cup. Originally planned to be hosted by India, all games were shifted to Australia following a contractual dispute over ground signage rights between the Indian Rugby Union and Rugby World Cup .... He retired from professional rugby in 2008 aged 29, and definitely in late 2009, aged 30. Brothers Old Boys
Brothers Rugby Club (formally Brothers Old Boys) is an Australian rugby union club based in Brisbane, Queensland. The name alludes to its beginnings as a rugby club founded by alumni of schools established by the Congregation of Christian Brothers. Brothers currently competes in the Queensland Premier Rugby competition against nine of the states best Rugby Union clubs. The club was established in 1905 and has won 28 'A' Grade premierships since. They have produced 258 Queensland and 91 Internationals including 78 Wallaby players over the last century. Melbourne Rebels (ARC)
The Melbourne Rising is an Australian rugby union team based in Melbourne that competes in the National Rugby Championship (NRC). The team represents the rugby community in Victoria, Australia, Victoria and is organised and managed by Rugby Victoria with the coaching and training programs used by the Melbourne Rebels being extended to players joining the team from the Rebels, the local Dewar Shield competition, and local Victorian juniors. The NRC was launched in 2014, reinstating the national competition after an absence of six years. The previous competition was the Australian Rugby Championship (ARC), which was discontinued in 2007 after only one season.
