David Shedd Bradley (6 April 1920 in Winnetka, Illinois – 19 December 1997 in Los Angeles, California) was an American motion picture director, actor, film collector, and university instructor. David Henry Bradley, Jr. (born 1950, in Bedford, Pennsylvania) is the author of ''South Street'' and ''The Chaneysville Incident'', which won the PEN/Faulkner Award in 1982. Both novels have been recently released in electronic editions by Open Road Media. Biography Bradley's ''The Chaneysville Incident'' was inspired in part by the real-life discovery of the graves of a group of runaway slaves on a farm near Chaneysville in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, where Bradley was born. This book also earned Bradley a 1982 Academy Award from the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters. His short story, "You Remember the Pinmill" (winner of a 2014 O. Henry Award), was published in 2013 in ''Narrative Magazine''. David "Dai" Bradley (born 27 September 1953) is an English actor known for his debut role of Billy Casper in the critically acclaimed 1969 film '' Kes'', directed by Ken Loach. Early life David Bradley was born in the hamlet of Stubbs, near Barnsley. His mother was Nora, a seamstress, and his father was Horace "Pop" Bradley, a miner who worked from North Gawber Colliery. David Bradley (born 1954) is a Minnesota Chippewa artist. He is known for his sociopolitical critique of contemporary Native American art, and as an artist-activist battling art fraud among other concerns. Personal life Born in Minnesota in 1954, many of Bradley's early years were in the Minneapolis metropolitan area until his family was split up and redistributed, having fallen victim to the prevailing view of what constituted an adequate family. In 1970, he left Minnesota and began a journey starting in the Southwestern United States and taking him through Central and South America — where he lived for a year with Mayan Indians — before his return to the U.S where he spent time among the Navajo Indians in Arizona. Bradley served non-consecutively in the Arizona State Legislature from January 2003 until January 10, 2011 in the Arizona House of Representatives District 28 seat. David Bradley (November 8, 1811 – February 19, 1899) was an American businessman and a pioneer plowman. Biography David Bradley was born in Groton, New York on November 8, 1811. After working with his brother, C. C. Bradley, for several years in Syracuse, he relocated to Chicago in 1835. Initially he was in the employ of Jones, King & Co. and helped to build the first foundry in Chicago, known as the "Chicago Furnace". From the late 1830s until the 1850s David Bradley farmed in Lake County, Illinois, made bricks, and later farm machinery, in Racine, Wisconsin, and was a lumberman in Michigan.
