Davey Allison
David Carl Allison (February 25, 1961 – July 13, 1993) was an American NASCAR driver. He was best known for driving the No. 28 Texaco-Havoline Ford for Robert Yates Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. Born in Hollywood, Florida, he was the oldest of four children born to Bobby and Judy Allison. The family moved to Hueytown, Alabama, and along with Bobby Allison's brother, Donnie, Red Farmer and Neil Bonnett, became known as the Alabama Gang. Early career Growing up, Allison participated in athletics, preferring football, but settled upon automobile racing. David Allison (Australian Politician)
David Allison (23 July 1865 – 27 June 1928) was an Australian politician. He was born at Coomoora near Daylesford to farmer David Allison and Alice Duff. He was a pioneer at Watchupga, where he ran a general store and had wheat and grazing lands. Around 1895 he married Harriett Sophia Pickering, with whom he had six children. From 1907 to 1922 he served on Birchip Shire Council, with a term as president in 1918–19. In 1920 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly for Borung as a member of the Victorian Farmers' Union, which soon became the Country Party. David Bryan Allison (born April 14, 1959) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman and coach. He played three games with the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL) during the 1983–84 season and was head coach of the Ottawa Senators during the 1995–96 season. He was the head coach of the USHL's Des Moines Buccaneers from 2014 to 2018. In January 2022, he was hired as the head coach of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in the North American Hockey League. David Allison (July 3, 1836 – February 13, 1924) was a Canadian professor, administrator and author. He was president both of Mount Allison College and later of Mount Allison University from 1869 to 1878 and from 1891 to 1911, respectively. He was born in Newport, Nova Scotia, the son of James Whidden Allison and Margaret Elder. He was educated at the Dalhousie Collegiate School (later Dalhousie University), at the Wesleyan Academy in Sackville, New Brunswick, founded by Charles Frederick Allison, and at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, from which he received a B.A. in 1859 and an M.A. three years later. David Allison (1873 – after 1901) was a French-born English footballer, who played as a striker. Club career In 1899, Allison was one of the charter members of Italian club AC Milan, which was originally named Milan Foot-Ball and Cricket Club, and was selected as the first captain of the team. Mark David Hollis (4 January 1955 – February 2019) was an English musician and singer-songwriter.
