Dave Ferraro
David Ferraro (born June 8, 1959) is a retired American professional bowler who won ten titles on the Professional Bowlers Tour and was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 1997. Ferraro is ranked 36th on the list of the 50 Greatest PBA Bowlers of all-time. He was the first bowler to win the Touring Players Championship twice (1988, 1991) and was the 1990 PBA Tournament of Champions (then sponsored by Firestone) winner. Early life Ferraro was born to John "Jack" Ferraro Jr. and Lorraine (née ''Secreto'') Ferraro in Kingston, New York and graduated from John A. Coleman Catholic High School in nearby Hurley, New York. The Professional Bowlers Tour, also known as Pro Bowlers Tour, is a broadcast of the Professional Bowlers Association that aired on ABC from 1962 to 1997. In the telecasts, sportscaster Chris Schenkel and the graphics displayed during the show would refer to the show as "The Professional Bowlers Tour", possibly to disambiguate from the NFL's use of the term "pro bowler" when referring to players who were selected for the Pro Bowl—an event also televised on ABC for many years. PBA World Championship
The PBA World Championship is one of five major PBA (Professional Bowlers Association) bowling events. It is one of three PBA Tour major events that are open only to PBA members. (The U.S. Open and USBC Masters allow qualifying amateurs to enter.) Prior to 2002, the tournament was called the PBA National Championship. The PBA National Championship was first contested on November 28, 1960, then called the First Annual National Championship; the winner was PBA Hall of Famer Don Carter. Walter Ray Williams Jr. (born October 6, 1959) is an American professional bowler and competitive horseshoes pitcher. Brian Voss (born August 4, 1958) of Cornelius, North Carolina, is a professional ten-pin bowler and member of the Professional Bowlers Association since 1982. The right-hander owns 25 PBA Tour titles (11th all-time), including one major championship, plus two titles on the PBA50 Tour and one PBA60 event title.
