David C. Campbell (September 5, 1873 – June 30, 1949) was an American college football player who was a member of the Harvard Crimson football team of Harvard University. Campbell was selected as a consensus All-American at the end position for three consecutive years from 1899 to 1901. He was the captain of the undefeated 1901 Harvard Crimson football team that finished 12–0. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1958. Campbell was born in Waltham, Massachusetts, in 1873. He grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts, and played football at the Worcester Academy and Lawrence Scientific School. He enrolled at Harvard in his mid-20s and played for the Harvard Crimson football team from 1899 to 1901. David Dewar Campbell (April 27, 1896 – February 18, 1975) was a Canadian hockey defenceman. Campbell played two games in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens during the 1920–21 season. He played in the Montreal City Hockey League from 1913 to 1927. He was a Sergeant in the Canadian Army in the First World War. Campbell coached Victoria Vics and Verdun Maple Leafs of the Quebec Senior Hockey League. David Wilson Campbell (born January 14, 1942) is an American former baseball player and sportscaster. He played parts of eight seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), primarily as an infielder for the San Diego Padres. He was nicknamed "Soup", a reference to the brand name Campbell's Soup. Biography Campbell began his playing career with the University of Michigan, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and signed with the Detroit Tigers' system as an amateur free agent in . David Alan Campbell (born September 3, 1951) is a former professional baseball pitcher. Campbell pitched two seasons in Major League Baseball for the Atlanta Braves in 1977 and 1978. He appeared in 118 games, all but 14 in relief pitcher, relief. Campbell was signed by the Braves as an amateur free agent in 1974. After two and a half seasons in the minor leagues, Campbell made his major league debut on May 1, 1977, against the Chicago Cubs. He would go on to finish 10th in the National League (baseball), National League in save (baseball), saves that year with 13. In 1978, Campbell finished more games than the previous season, but had just 1 save, and his ERA jumped from 3.05 to 4.80. David Martin Campbell (born 13 September 1969) is an Irish football coach and former player. He is opposition analyst and head of recruitment at Sligo Rovers. Campbell was a defender who started his career with Stella Maris and went on to play for Bohemians, Shamrock Rovers, St Patrick's Athletic, Shelbourne, Bray Wanderers and Dublin City during his career in the League of Ireland. He also had a spell on loan to Newry Town in the Irish League.
